New Book on Anne's Work
We have some very exciting news. There will be a new book on Anne's work which will feature her paintings and charcoals as well as some of her poetry. Anne has been writing poems for most of her life but this will be the first time that they have been published. It's hoped that the book will be published sometime in the summer 2025. We shall be posting more about this over the next year.
Anne appearing as a guest at The Froudian Faerie Ball and Fayre
Anne will be appearing as a guest artist at this event in Glastonbury on the 2nd and 3rd of March. The theme for this wonderful event will be a celebration of Brian and Wendy Froud's work and the whole weekend is set to be one of magic and fun.
Anne appearing as a guest at Fantasy Forest Festival 19th and 20th July
Anne will be appearing as a guest at this wonderful event held at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire. Anne will be around with her team for the whole event so fans, friends and visitors can come and say hello. On Saturday the 19th, she will also be giving a talk on her work followed by a Q&A in the magnificent chapel. She is currently working on a painting of Sudeley Castle and very much hopes it will be completed in time for the event.

Whitby Gothic Gathering and Tomorrow's Ghosts Festival.
There have been some changes to the events happening in Whitby at the Pavilion and The Tomorrow's Ghosts festival will now only run the autumn event there. The Gothic Gathering will now take the place of the spring event at the end of April. The Anne Sudworth Gallery team will be doing both events and will be in their usual place, downstairs in the Pavilion. Anne will be around for most of the events, signing books and cards and catching up with everyone.
Exhibitions
Anne is very much reducing the events, conventions and guest appearances that she does. These events are always great fun but they take up a lot of time and she needs to concentrate more on her exhibition and gallery work and to spend time on the new book. She is hoping to exhibit a number of new pieces of work towards the end of the year. She will of course, continue with certain events like Whitby, Fantasy Forest and the Avalon Faerie Ball and may occasionally do other events.

Anne Sudworth Talk and Slideshow

The World of Glass museum and art gallery in St. Helens
Anne will be giving a talk and slideshow at The World of Glass museum and art gallery in St. Helens on the 26th August at 1pm. The museum has recently reopened with some wonderful collections and the major new Roots Exhibition which features works by well known people in the arts who have a connection to the area through work, business etc. The talk is free but tickets need to be booked via the World if of Glass website or by telephoning them.
New Works
Anne has been concentrating on some new pieces of work which will hopefully, be on show later in the year. She continues to work with her Earth Light Trees as well as her moonlight and nocturnal themes but has also been working in other areas too. More information soon.

We have a number of new products featuring Anne's work including a range of fridge magnets which are currently available from various outlets and events and they will soon be added to the website. We have a very limited supply of throws and cushion covers featuring Anne's work. These were produced by a company which can sadly no longer supply them, so we are trying to find replacements but at present have very little stock. These will be available at our forthcoming events or for information, please email info@annesudworth.co.uk
Anne to be a Guest at Fantasy Forest 15th and 16th July 2023
Anne has been invited to appear as a guest again at the wonderful Fantasy Forest Festival at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire in July. She will be around for the whole weekend, signing copies of her books and catching up with everyone. She will also be giving a talk on Saturday.
Talk and Slide-show on Anne's Work
Anne will be giving a talk and slide-show on her work as part of the Fantasy Forest Festival. This will be at 5pm on Saturday 15th July and held in the beautiful St. Mary's Chapel, where Katherine Parr is buried. The talk will run for just under an hour, hopefully allowing for any questions.
Anne as Guest at the Avalon Faery Ball
Anne will be appearing as a guest artist at the magical Faery Fayre and Ball in Glastonbury. Always such a special event, the fayre is free entry and always a wonderful weekend

There are a number of videos now on Anne's You Tube channel but it has been a very busy time and she is aware that there haven't been any new videos recently and hopes to do some more very soon.

We are hoping to update the website in 2022. This is long overdue and with the events of the recent two years, we had put it on hold but now, we hope to get this done.

The Avalon Butterfly Ball
Anne will again be a guest artist at the wonderful Avalon Faery Fayre and Ball. This year it's the Butterfly Ball. It's one of Anne's favourite events and always a magical occasion, held in beautiful Glastonbury.

Anne will be a guest at the Fantasy Forest Festival this summer. She appeared as a guest last year at the first event and is looking forward to returning to lovely Sudeley Castle.
Anne Sudworth Exhibition at The Pannett Art Gallery, Whitby
There'll be an exhibition of Anne's work at The Pannett Art Gallery, Whitby 24th October to 6th November 2019 The exhibition will include a variety of Anne’s work including some major new pieces and some of her charcoals as well as a selection of her paintings reproduced on fabric. Anne particularly loves the Pannett Art Gallery and is looking forward to returning there.

Anne will be appearing as a guest artist at this wonderful event, along with Brian Froud, Wendy Froud and Terry English. The event takes place at the beautiful Glastonbury Town Hall on the 11th and 12th of March. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a stand in the Fayre where prints, books and cards of Anne's work will be available and Anne will be around for the whole event, including the ball on the Saturday evening.

Anne has been invited to be a guest at this wonderful event and she is very much looking forward to being a part of it. The event takes place on the 22nd and 23rd October 2016 at Glastonbury Town Hall. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a stand in the Fayre where prints, books and cards of Anne's work will be available and Anne will be around for the whole event, including the ball on the Saturday evening.
Anne invited to be a guest speaker at The Dracula Society, London
Anne has been invited to be a quest speaker at The Dracula Society autumn meeting in London. This will take place on Saturday, 1st October 2016 from 7:30pm. Anne will present a slideshow and talk on her work, followed by a question and answer session. This event is open to society members only.
Chester Art Fair 2016
The Anne Sudworth Gallery will again be exhibiting Anne's work at the Chester Art Fair. This is a lovely and vibrant fair and has become an annual event for us. Our team will be there with a wide selection of Anne's work and Anne will also be attending the fair.

Major Exhibition of Anne's Work in Whitby
There will be a major solo exhibition of Anne's work later this year at the beautiful Pannett Art Gallery in Whitby. The show will run from the 3rd of October to the 16th of November 2015. Around twenty pieces of work will be on show including her newest works and a special new painting of the famous Whitby Abbey. Anne's Work at new Art Gallery in Windsor
We are pleased to announce that The Gallery at Ice in Windsor will be exhibiting and selling Anne's work. A number of her originals are now on show. Anne is very pleased to be with this lovely gallery which has a fabulous team and a great exhibition space - and only two minutes walk from Windsor Castle. She will, of course, still be exhibiting at The Anne Sudworth Gallery and also with the others who represent her but she is really looking forward to working with this great new gallery.

This is a new international contemporary fine art fair. English Heritage and the Stonehenge Visitor Centre
English Heritage stock a number of Anne's prints and cards at several of their sites including the recently opened new Visitor Centre at Stonehenge.
Nicolas Cage on Anne Sudworth's Art.
Academy Award winning actor, Nicolas Cage, has written a particularly beautiful and personal piece about Anne's work. His words have captured her work so perfectly - a wonderful and moving description which has truly hit a chord. He wrote

Anne has been invited to be Artist Guest of Honour at 'Eightsquared', the 2013 Eastercon in Bradford. The convention is on over the Easter weekend. To join the convention or for more information please visit eightsquaredcon.org
Exhibitions for 2013
Last year was a very busy year. Anne had work on show at a large number of fine art fairs and festivals as well as a major solo London exhibition and guest appearances at conventions and events. It was an exceedingly hectic year and as such we were not able to do as much at the Anne Sudworth Art Gallery, so this year Anne has decided to concentrate a lot more on the gallery. There will be three main exhibitions of Anne's work at the gallery, starting with a large show in February, then a collection of her 'Tiny Dreams' in September and our usual Christmas show in December. Anne Sudworth's work at the Olympia International Fine Art Fair, London.
We are pleased to confirm that some of Anne's paintings will be exhibited at the Olympia International Fine Art Fair in London. This is one of the most prestigious fine art fairs, with some of the top art dealers showing their best works. The fair attracts over 30,000 visitors and shows a wide variety of arts. The fair runs from the 7th to the 17th of June 2012 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, Hammersmith Road, London W14.

New Fourth Gallery Page for New Works
We have added a fourth gallery page to the website, to show some of Anne's most recent pieces of work and we shall be adding to it over the next months. It is listed at the bottom of the other gallery pages. We have also added a new page for buying original works.
New Prints and Cards
We have added new prints and cards to our online shop, including "Tintagel", "Arthur's Castle", "Merlin's Cave", "St. Nectan's Glen" and "The Big Belly Oak".
Anne's work has been shortlisted for a BSFA Award
A piece of Anne's work has been shortlisted for the Best Art category in the BSFA Awards. She is very pleased to have been nominated. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place in London over Easter at the annual Eastercon convention.
English Heritage to sell Anne's Cards and Prints
Last year, Anne was approached by English Heritage concerning her work and we are now pleased to announce that a number of her prints and cards will be available through selected English Heritage sites. These will include Stonehenge, Whitby Abbey and Tintagel with others to be added. We shall be posting more news on this soon.
Watercolours and Works on Paper, London
There will be a number of Anne's works on show at the prestigious Watercolours and Works on Paper Fair, which will be at the Science Museum, London from 2nd February to 5th February 2012.

There will be a number of shows and art fairs where Anne's work can be seen this year, including Watercolours and Works on Paper in London and the National Fine Art Fair at the NEC in Birmingham and we shall be holding two special exhibitions at our own gallery. Tintagel Trilogy Prints
We are pleased to announce that all three pictures in Anne's "Tintagel Trilogy" are now available as prints and cards. "Arthur's Castle", "Tintagel" and "Merlin's Cave" are available on their own or as a set. We shall soon be updating the Shop pages with more details.
Major Exhibition of Anne Sudworth's Work in Glastonbury.
There will be a major solo exhibition of Anne Sudworth's work at The Grail Centre Gallery in Glastonbury this summer. The exhibition will run from 22nd August to 11th September 2011. It will include her recently completed Tintagel Trilogy as well as her new painting of St. Nectan's Glen, a number of her 'earth light trees' and various other works. She has always had strong ties with Glastonbury and feels its atmosphere and character will provide the perfect setting for her show. We shall give more information nearer the time but this will be an exciting show in a very special place.
The David Gemmell Legend Awards.

Tintagel Trilogy
For several months, Anne has been working on a trilogy of paintings of Tintagel, a place that is very special to her. The trilogy will hopefully be completed in time for a March show. More information on this when it is completed.
Spring Exhibition to show the Tintagel Trilogy
There will be an exhibition at the Anne Sudworth Studio Art Gallery to show the new Tintagel trilogy along with a selection other works. The exhibition will run from the 9th of March to the 1st of April 2011. We are also hoping to arrange a book signing during this exhibition. Dates to be confirmed. The gallery is only open by appointment.

2010 was an extremely hectic year and we were unable to update the site as often as we'd intended. We hope to update it soon with new paintings and photos as well as some new pages. We'll also be adding new prints and cards to the shop page.
"The Silent Watchers" - A Major Exhibition of Anne's Work
10th February - 11th April 2010.
There will be a major exhibition of Anne's paintings at The Dock Museum, Barrow in Furness in Cumbria this spring. The exhibition is called "The Silent Watchers", a name she uses to describe her earth light trees and haunting stones. Over twenty pieces of work will be on show including many of these trees and stones as well as a number of her smaller, looser works. She was invited to have the exhibition some time ago and has been looking forward to returning to the Northwest. She has not exhibited in the Northwest for several years due to heavy exhibition commitments elsewhere. The exhibition runs from the 10th of February to the 11th of April. Works on Paper Art Fair, London
There will be a small number of Anne's works on show at the Works on Paper Art Fair at the Royal College of Art, London, from the 2nd to the 5th of February.

We have just released some new prints and cards of Anne's work. They include her paintings of Glastonbury Abbey and Old Wardour Castle and two of her cat paintings, both based on her own cats. Exhibition in Glastonbury
There will be a major solo exhibition of Anne Sudworth's work at the Grey Chapel Art Gallery in Glastonbury this year. The exhibition will run from the 20th November to the 20th December 2009. This will be an exciting event in what must be one of the most special places in Britain. A large collection of her work will be on show including a number of her smaller, looser works as well as the larger pieces. Whitby Goth Weekend October 2009
The Anne Sudworth Studio Art Gallery will be having a stand at the Whitby Goth Weekend from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November 2009. We shall be in the Spa in our usual place and will be bringing a number of new cards and prints. Anne will be around for the whole weekend.
New Paintings on Show.
Anne has produced a number of major new pieces including ‘Black Cat in the Moonlight’, ‘The Invitation’ and ‘Windleshaw Chantry’ among others, as well as a number of small works, part of her ‘Spirits’ series and several charcoals. Most of the new works will be on show from the 15th June to the 31st July at The Anne Sudworth Studio Art Gallery. Viewing is by appointment only and anyone wishing to view the work should contact James Brooke, gallery manager.

May 2009 Update
Things have been very hectic over recent months but we are hoping to update the website soon with a number of Anne’s new paintings and news of forthcoming events and exhibitions. We are still hoping to add a gallery of her smaller works and charcoals and also a photo section. Last year was an extremely busy one with a number of shows and launches including the exhibition at Strawberry Hill House. Anne is currently spending most of her time in the studio to concentrate on new work before the next major show.
Whitby Goth Weekend October 2008
The Anne Sudworth Studio will be having their usual stand at the Spa Pavilion during the Goth weekend from Friday 31st October to Sunday 2nd November.
Manchester Art Fair 2008
We can now confirm that The Anne Sudworth Studio will be having a stand at 'Buy Art Fair', the new Manchester art fair where a large number of galleries from the UK will be exhibiting. The fair will be open from Thursday 9th October to Sunday 13th October 2008.

Exhibition at Strawberry Hill House
Anne has been invited to have an exhibition at Strawberry Hill House in London, home of Horace Walpole who wrote the first Gothic novel, "Castle of Otranto". The show will run from the 23rd of March till the 18th of May.
Strawberry Hill House is Britain's finest example of Georgian Gothic Revival architecture and interior decoration. It began life in 1698 as a modest house, built by the coachmen of the Earl of Bradford. It was transformed into 'a little Gothic castle' by Horace Walpole, man of letters and the son of England's first Prime Minister. Between 1747 and 1792 Walpole doubled its size, creating Gothic rooms and adding towers and battlements in fulfilment of his dream. Further additions were made by the Countess Waldegrave in the 19th Century.
The exhibition has been arranged to mark the opening of the house in March and a number of other events are being planned to coincide with the exhibition including an open evening and book signing on Sunday the 4th of May from 5pm till 8pm. For more information please email info@AnneSudworth.co.uk

Anne was again featured on Radio 4 recently. She was interviewed for part of the Open Country programme.
New Online Shop
We now have an online shop selling prints, greetings cards and books of Anne's work as well as information on how to buy original works. At the moment we are asking people to email their orders until we add the shopping carts and images. Most of the images can be seen on the gallery pages. We hope to update the shop pages as soon as possible to include these.
New Gallery Pages
We are hoping to add some new gallery pages to the website with Anne's drawings, charcoals and other works. These pages will also include some of her exceedingly popular cat pictures and her looser, smaller pastel works. These works will not be available as prints or cards.
Radio and TV interviews
Anne was interviewed for a BBC Radio 2 show and a Chanel 4 TV show. More details to come.
The British Fantasy Society
Anne shall be attending the British Fantasy Society convention in Nottingham where some of her work will be on show. She will be available to sign copies of her new book, Gothic Fantasies as well as taking part in a number of panels. The convention will be held at the Britannia Hotel from 21st September to 23rd September 2007.

Anne to be interview guest for July BSFA meeting in London.
Anne will be the guest to be interviewed by the BFSA at their monthly meeting on 25th July. The meetings take place at The Star Tavern, 6 Belgrave Mews, London, SW1X 8HT. Despite the posh location this is a down to earth pub that serves decent beer and good pub food, and has a very nice upstairs room. The evening starts about 5-30pm, the interview starts around 7pm.

We can now confirm that Anne will be attending the annual Questing Conference presented by Andrew Collins, which will be held in Glastonbury on the 3rd and 4th of November. Book Launch for "Gothic Fantasies".
"Gothic Fantasies" the new book on Anne's work will be officially launched at the Whitby Goth Weekend this April. Anne will be at the Pavilion to sign copies of the new book on Saturday, 28th April from 12 noon till 3pm at The Anne Sudworth Studio stand in the Bizarre Bazaar.
There will be a free Whitby Abbey art card with every book and the books will be available at the special price of £12-99 for the hardback (normal price £19-99) and £49-99 for the collectors edition (normal price £75).
An extensive range of prints and cards of Anne's work will also be available from the stand.

News on the New Book.
We can now confirm that the new book on Anne's work will be published on the 8th March 2007. The book called "Gothic Fantasies the Paintings of Anne Sudworth" will be available as hardback, price - £19-99. There will also be a special collectors edition of 500 in black suedel, which will come in a presentation box - each book will be signed and numbered and accompanied by a certificate, price - £75. The Affordable Art Fair - London.
A small number of Anne's paintings will be at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park, London. The fair is an important part of the art calendar with over 120 art dealers and galleries selling contemporary art for under £3,000. Anne's work will be on the Gallery Kaleidoscope stand.
Book Launches and Signings.
There will be a number of book launches and signing for Anne's new book, "Gothic Fantasies" . We shall give more details as they are confirmed, though there are likely to be book launches at "Contemplation" in April, (open to convention members only) and the Whitby Goth Weekends in both April and October. Anne was recently asked to pick her top ten records

First Day Covers
Anne has agreed to let two of her paintings be reproduced on to a pair
of limited edition first day covers. These are being produced to coincide
with an issue of Royal Mail stamps on 26th February 2004 marking the
50th anniversary of the publication of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

Enchanted World
The book on Anne’s work called "Enchanted
World – The Art of Anne Sudworth" is now available from
bookshops in paperback, price £15. The hardback has sold out of its
second print run although a few copies are still available priced £20.

Award in America
Anne recently won a Chesley award for her painting
"The Snow Tree". Unfortunately she was unable to attend the
award ceremony in Los Angeles but Mr Paul Barnett graciously accepted
the award on Anne's behalf.
Limited Edition Book
"Enchanted World – the Art of Anne Sudworth"
is also available as a special signed and numbered limited edition of
500. The book is navy blue cloth bound with silver embossed writing
and comes in a matching slip case. It also includes four prints of paintings

Paradise Cards
Two of Anne's paintings have been released as large
format postcards, published by Paradise Cards. The two paintings are
"The Edge Of The World" and "Watching The Dawn"

A book on Magical Trees and Sacred Stones
Anne is looking into the possibility of producing
a book on her paintings of Earth Light Trees and Sacred Stones and has
been working on a number of new paintings which concentrate on these
themes.
